Keratex Cooling Gel is unlike other cooling gels in the market, in that it does not contain menthol or camphor. Menthol and camphor simply temporarily numb the ‘hot’ nerve receptors, whereas Keratex Cooling Gel actually cools by evaporation. This makes it a safe, highly effective and competitive product on the shelf. We recommend the ‘thermometer test’. Take a thermometer and press it gently on the leg treated with Keratex Cooling Gel, then do the same on a leg not been treated with Keratex Cooling Gel. You will see a definite difference in degrees. This is fantastic product for horses in medium to hard work or those prone to hot legs and inflammation. It can also be used on horses recovering from surgery who may stand for long periods while on stable rest. Does not contain any substances banned by The Jockey Club.
