Keratex Cooling Gel – a breakthrough in leg care

Keeping your horse’s legs and tendons cool after exercise or injury, and to assist physiotherapy, has become standard practice in recent years. Cooling the area can reduce swelling and increase circulation, aiding the speed of recovery and profoundly improving comfort levels.

Apply Keratex Cooling Gel liberally to the affected area (but never on broken skin) for instant relief and proven results - see our ‘Take the Thermometer Test’.

Most everyday cooling gels contain camphor and/or menthol, which may seem a good way of fending off hot or swollen legs and relieving muscle cramp. In fact, both camphor and menthol simply anaesthetise the ‘hot temperature’ nerve receptors, leaving the ‘cold temperature’ nerve receptors active.

Keratex Cooling Gel, however, works by actually reducing the blood’s temperature below the skin in the area it is applied to, so you can be sure of real benefits.

Take the Thermometer Test

Apply Keratex Cooling Gel to one leg. Leave for about 45 seconds. Now press a thermometer onto the leg covered in gel, record the temperature, and do the same to the leg that hasn’t been treated. You should see a difference in temperature.
