About Us
Keratex Hoofcare is a family-run business which began with the creation of our flagship product, Keratex Hoof Hardener.
Dr John NB Irving founded the business, based around this one product, in 1991 in Wiltshire, UK. He is still at the helm of the business today. The Keratex range has expanded and still continues to grow. Its offices continue to be based in Wiltshire (see picture above), where the very first product was manufactured. An additional warehouse facility is located nearby.
Our directors combine a keen interest in all things equine with a firm background in science. We have increased our product range by working through common problems and issues relating to horses’ hooves and finding solutions using both experience and technical knowledge. All of our products are proven to work and are vet and farrier endorsed.
Since its inception in the 90s, the business has grown rapidly and now has a worldwide market - Keratex Hoofcare is one of the leading global product ranges in the hoof care industry today. We are proud that - in a world of cutting costs and outsourcing - all of our products are manufactured within the UK and as many of our suppliers as possible are based locally.
Keratex Hoofcare uses Garston Veterinary Group in Wiltshire for advice on hoofcare issues.
